Well Child Visits

Well-Child Visits in Maui, HI

Taking care of your child is a full-time job and it’s important to do all that you can to make sure that they stay healthy. An easy way to keep your child healthy is by bringing them to their pediatrician for well-child visits. When you’re bringing them in for regular checkups with their pediatrician, you’re helping keep your child healthier for longer and taking steps to detect any serious issues as early as possible. Frank R. Baum, M.D., Inc. Pediatrics provides comprehensive checkups during these well-child visits to keep your child as healthy as possible.

Bringing Your Child in for Well Visits

It’s important that you take steps to protect your child as much as you can. This means bringing your child in for well-child visits with our pediatrician. A well-child visit can protect your child in various ways and make sure that they’re protected from specific illnesses and diseases that could affect your child.

During a well-child visit, our pediatrician can ensure that your child is up to date on their vaccinations. Vaccinations can protect your child from specific diseases and can make any reaction they have to illnesses like the flu. They can also help update your child if any vaccinations are missing.

Your child will also have other aspects of their health checked. This could include their vision and hearing. If any issues are detected, treatment can start as soon as possible to lessen any symptoms your child might be dealing with.

You can also raise any concerns you may have about your child’s health and well-being. This can help your pediatrician understand any problems your child might be dealing with undetected.

One of the most important areas of Pediatrics is the ever changing prevention of deadly diseases and conditions. Our preventative health care goes well beyond vaccinations and office visits. We have the expertise and screening tools that help identify early potential health threatening conditions. We perform all Bright Futures, American Academy of Pediatrics and the US preventive services recommended screening and lab protocols. These are an essential part of taking care of your child. See here for more about Bright Futures. Please note: Immunizations are a scientifically proven way of protecting children from serious and life threatening communicable diseases. Our office only accepts patients that are immunized and/or working towards being fully immunized within the recommended intervals. Please read our vaccination policy here.

Each visit is with your Pediatrician. It starts with the time to take a thorough history and includes developmental surveillance and a complete physical examination.
